Cash sweeps, vendor AP and tipped payroll for restaurant groups.

Register cash swept to HQ only once the day is actually closed, food-vendor AP paid by due date, tipped payroll with the tip and FICA credits derived — not typed in — and royalties remitted on gross sales. Multi-location dining money, reconciled by construction.

Rails · ACH · Same-Day ACH · book transfer · recurring ACH

A multi-location restaurant group runs several money problems on the same clock: dozens of registers close each night and that cash has to consolidate to HQ, but only from locations that actually closed — sweeping an unreconciled drawer is a guess, not a fact. Food vendors deliver on their own terms, from COD produce trucks due the day they arrive to Net-14 seafood, and AP has to be prioritized by due date across all of it. Tipped employees are paid a sub-minimum cash wage topped up by declared tips, which means every paycheck carries a tip credit and a FICA tip credit that must be computed exactly, never approximated. And franchised locations owe the franchisor a royalty and marketing-fund percentage of gross sales, every week, to the dollar.

Digital Treasury gives restaurant groups one treasury layer across all of it: a location can't be swept until its POS has closed, vendor invoices pay by due date only once approved, tip and FICA tip credits are derived from hours and declared tips so they can never drift from the numbers they come from, and royalty remittances compute cleanly off gross sales. It ships as TableOps.

The problem

The money problems in Restaurants.

Cash sweeps that assume reconciliation

Consolidating dozens of registers to the HQ operating account only works if every location's day is actually closed — sweeping a drawer that's still moving turns a treasury operation into a guess.

Food-vendor AP on mixed terms

COD produce due the day the truck arrives, Net-7 broadline, Net-14 seafood — AP has to be prioritized by due date across every vendor and every location, not tracked by memory.

Tipped payroll math that can't drift

The tip credit and the FICA tip credit are statutory calculations off hours, cash wage and declared tips — get them subtly wrong across 142 employees and it's a wage claim, not a rounding error.

The platform

How Digital Treasury solves it.

Sweeps gated on POS close

A location's cash can't be swept to HQ until its register has closed for the day — the gate that keeps consolidated cash a fact, not a guess, enforced the same way for one location or two hundred.

AP prioritized by due date

Vendor invoices carry real terms — COD, Net-7, Net-14 — and only an approved invoice enters the ACH batch, sorted by what's actually due next across the whole group.

Tip and FICA tip credits, derived not stored

Every tipped paycheck's tip credit and FICA tip credit compute from hours, cash wage and declared tips at the moment of pay — never a manually entered figure that can go stale.

Franchise royalties on gross sales

Royalty and marketing-fund percentages apply to gross sales and remit on schedule as a single ACH to the franchisor, with the underlying math always available to check.

FAQ

Restaurants, answered.

Can a location's cash be swept before the register closes?

No. Sweeping is gated on the location's POS having closed for the day — an open register means the day's cash is still moving, so the platform holds the sweep rather than consolidate an unreconciled figure.

How are tip credits and FICA tip credits calculated?

Both are derived at pay time from each employee's hours, cash wage and declared tips — the tip credit tops the cash wage up toward the full minimum wage, and the FICA tip credit is the employer's offset above the statutory threshold. Neither is a field someone types in, so they can't drift from the numbers behind them.
